Chevy Cobalt Models
The Chevy Cobalt has three different models offered in two door and four door models – the LS, LT and SS Turbo. Out of the three the SS Turbo has sports trim and includes such options as rear spoiler, rocker panels, fog lights and polished alloy wheels. The LT model has options that include heated leather seats, antilock brakes and traction control. The LS includes basic standard options as air conditioning, day-light adjusting review mirror, XM satellite radio with CD player, internet access, daytime running lights and others.

Of the three different models, the SS Turbo is the model that has been best reviewed and generally enjoys a reputation for better than average handling and strong performance. Drivers who are looking for a car that is fun to drive, with good pick-up and easy handling around road curves will enjoy the 2.0 liter turbo-charged 260 hp engine. Safety Ratings
Unusual among similar small cars, the Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo rates five out of five in the NHTSA (National Highway Transportation Safety Administration) tests for front impact accidents and side impact accidents. IIHS accident impact tests rate the SS Turbo as good overall.
Price
The SS Turbo MSRP starts around $24,000. According to Cars.com, the average operating costs for the Chevy Cobalt start around $13,500 in year one of ownership and gradually step down over the first five years to a low of approximately $5,700 in year five of ownership. Operating costs included factors such as depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, insurance, fuel, maintenance and repair costs. It was not estimated that any repair costs would be necessary until approximately three years into ownership.
